In this second review of the Census' 2002 Survey of Business Owners (SBO), we analyzed the characteristics of minority-owned businesses and those that influence business survival to try to find factors that may have contributed to the business performance of minority-owned businesses in 2002. To accomplish this, we analyzed the data from the Census' SBO Company Summary, Characteristics of Businesses, and Characteristics of Business Owners, among other sources.
