SBA Looking for Small Business Entrepreneurs to Participate in Free Mini-MBA Training Program
The SBA Fresno District Office announces the opportunity for small business owners to apply for the 2014 Emerging Leaders Mini-MBA training program. Fresno SBA District Director Carlos Mendoza said, “SBA is offering Emerging Leaders in Fresno for another year, to help a fourth class of entrepreneurs achieve the next level of growth and success in their businesses.”
For the past three years SBA has collaborated with local business development partners to implement this “mini-MBA” program which was brought to Fresno as the result of the City’s Strong Cities, Strong Communities designation. “During 2013, fourteen small business entrepreneurs completed the Emerging Leaders program, and several graduates have already experienced job creation and revenue growth. Graduates who completed in previous years achieved similar results,” said Mendoza. Classes are scheduled to begin mid-April and will be held in the evenings at the SBA Fresno District Office at 801 R Street, Fresno.
Deadline to apply for the program is March 21, 2014. Selection criteria include having been in business for a minimum of three years, having one paid employee separate from the owner and gross annual sales of at least $400,000.
