2013 African Growth and Opportunity Act Forum
The Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) have been designated by the United States and Ethiopian governments as the coordinators for the Private Sector Session at the 2013 AGOA Forum, which will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, August 9 – 13, 2013. Partnering with U.S. and African private sector, governments and other stakeholders, CCA and ECCSA will provide the platform for companies to identify opportunities, execute deals and network with decision-makers in Africa’s growth across many sectors including agribusiness, energy, ICT, health, and infrastructure.
This Private Sector Session is dedicated to identifying opportunities for the U.S. and African private sectors to take full advantage of AGOA’s benefits and collectively pursue approaches that could increase the flow of trade and investment into Africa. The U.S. and African private sectors also support building the capacity to close any other gaps that could limit trade and investment and will work together to fully enable entrepreneurs and companies to take advantage of existing and future opportunities.
Join us to:
- Identify the key drivers for investing in Africa’s agricultural sector
- Explore emerging opportunities in the energy, infrastructure and ICT sectors
- Create lasting business partnerships
- Discover sources of capital for your venture
- Engage stakeholders on the future of AGOA
Highlights of the Private Sector Session will include industry-specific sessions, panels to address cross-cutting issues, such as innovative approaches in financing, health and alternative energy growth, and emerging ICT approaches that work across sectors.
