Brief description of call: With access to 40 percent of the water in southern Africa and arable land covering one third of the country, Zambia’s untapped agriculture potential is enormous. American Agribusiness companies have an opportunity to operate large farm blocks for agriculture, poultry or livestock for domestic consumption and export to eight neighboring countries.
Interim Chief of Mission David Young will host a panel including Economic Officer Adam Ross, Commercial Officer Srini Seetharahm, President of the American Chamber of Commerce Zambia David Vosburg, and officials of the Zambian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to discuss opportunities for American companies in the Agriculture and Livestock sector in Zambia.
