The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration is organizing a trade mission to Taiwan, Japan, and Korea March 10th to 14th, 2014 with the support of Brand USA and the Receptive Services Association of America. The mission will be led by Ken Hyatt, (A) Under Secretary for International Trade.

The purpose of the mission is to help U.S. firms in the travel and tourism industry find business partners and sell services in Taipei, Taiwan; Seoul, Korea; and Tokyo, Japan. The targeted sector for participation in this mission is travel and tourism, including U.S.-based travel and tourism suppliers, destination marketing organizations (i.e., regional tourism organizations and city convention and visitors bureaus), travel promotion organizations and other travel and tourism entities promoting and selling travel to the United States, including trade associations.

The goal of this trade mission is to help U.S. destinations and tourism suppliers, including receptive tour operators, develop their contacts and generate exports in Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Mission components will include business-to-business introductions and market access information that will help participants position themselves to enter or expand their presence and exporting efforts in Taiwan, Japan and Korea.

Commerce is hosting a free webinar on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11a.m. EST where experts in the travel and tourism industry will discuss the mission in detail.

We encourage you to register for the webinar so you can learn more about these exciting markets and this excellent opportunity.

Registering for the free webinar does not commit you to the trade mission. It is, however, a great way to get information about the tremendous travel and tourism potential in Taiwan, Japan and Korea. You may also want to start thinking about applying for the Department of Commerce's upcoming Trade Mission.

If you have any questions prior to the webinar, please feel free to contact either Anastasia Xenias, at 212-809-2685 or Anastasia.Xenias@trade.gov or Frank Spector at 202-482-2054 or Frank.Spector@trade.gov.
