GSA Event-Suspension & Debarment: What Industry Needs to Know

Event Date and Time:
04/26/2012 - 8:30am - 12:30pm

Each year, thousands of businesses partner with the Federal Government to provide goods and services.  However, the Federal Government only does business with contractors who are presently responsible.  The Federal Government suspends or debars non-responsible contractors, so a suspension or debarment could greatly impact a Government contractor.

Attendees will have the unusual opportunity to hear directly from some of the Government’s leading debarring officials and acquisition experts.  Speakers will discuss the suspension and debarment process as well as ethical contractor behavior that can mitigate the risk of suspension or debarment.

In addition to an introduction to the suspension and debarment process for newcomers and a discussion of how the process works, the highlight of the event will be a panel discussion, featuring:

  • Dan Gordon, Associate Dean of The George Washington University Law School’s Government Procurement Law Studies; former Administrator, Office of Federal Procurement Policy
  • Joseph A. Neurauter, Suspension and Debarment Official, U.S. General Services Administration
  • Steven A. Shaw, Suspension and Debarment Official, U.S. Department of the Air Force
  • Jiyoung Park, Associate Administrator for Small Business Utilization, U.S. General Services Administration
  • Cindy Corrigan, Vice President, Office of Internal Governance, United Launch Alliance
