The MBDA Office of Business Development – Program Management is responsible for the design/development of grant programs, systems integration, training, management and assessment of the Agency’s business enterprise grant programs.  This unit within the Office of Business Development is responsible for the management of MBDA’s annual performance and nearly one-third of the overall budget.

Preferred Grade: Student Intern

Leadership: MBDA anticipates successful candidate will participate as a team member and work closely with the Chief of OBD, Program Manager and program team.  He/she will have program support duties.

Position Description:

This fellowship position supports the work of the Office of Business Development, Program Management unit.  The successful candidate will support the efforts of the business development and the grants management functions.  He/she will be responsible for supporting program requirements and compliance. 

Work Assignments:

  • He/she will utilize MBDA’s online performance system.

  • Prepare Grant Renewal and Competitive packages for funding Minority and Native American Business Centers.

  • Conduct data mining and support the business enterprise function with its service delivery activities. 

  • Ensure field reports are received, documented and processed in a timely manner.

  • Review and provide analytical comments of reports, and recommendations for programmatic improvement.

  • Support documentation management and recording keeping.

  • Provide support to the Office of Business Development as needed.

Skills Required:

This project requires an individual with analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, financial skills and proficiency in Excel and Word formats.  Business, Operations Management, Accounting and Economics background is a plus.
