Small businesses in Bergen, Hudson and Essex counties that are owned by minorities and/or women, take note: The 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee for the Meadowlands event is launching a “Business Connect” initiative designed to try to help minorities- and women-owned businesses get into “the game.”
Companies in those counties or in the New York City metro area can participate in a series of educational workshops that will include “networking sessions with the business community, NFL contractors, Host Committee staff and local government agencies.”
The first Business Connect workshop is Wed., Nov. 28 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at New York University’s Skirball Center in lower Manhattan at 566 LaGuardia Place.
