Alejandra Y. Castillo, MBDA National Deputy Director, will be the featured keynote at the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s 9th Annual Awards Banquet titled "Positioning Business for Growth in the New Economy"on April 21, 2011. She will address over 200 business owners, federal, state and local officials, on the importance of the United States competing in global commerce and how the Wichita business community can contribute to these efforts.
With the launch of the National Export Initiative , aimed at growing the number of U.S. firms engaged in global commerce, Castillo will share how the MBDA and the U.S. Department of Commerce can help Wichita business owners select global target markets in which they have a competitive advantage. Her remarks will highlight the current state of minority business enterprise (MBEs)  and how to leverage the unique characteristics of MBEs to generate economic opportunities and create new jobs.
