OITRI is focused on providing solutions and strategies that enhance MBDA’s mission from a business and operational perspective. Be it by providing technical support or by managing and building the infrastructure that is the agency’s network and equipment, OITRI is looking for a sharp individual to contribute to MBDA’s information technology team.

Leadership: MBDA anticipates successful candidate will participate as a team member and work closely with the Chief Information Officer and management staff. He/she will have project responsibility duties.
Internship Programs & Requirements
Internships with this office provide practical experience leading to the eventual achievement of personal goals of the interns. Specific interest in computer help desk, electronic mail, programming disciplines, network design and operations, and IT security. Applicants should have a definite interest in and some knowledge of computer systems operations.
Office of Information Technology Services
Interns participate and assist staff with products and services to include technical training, computer help desk, electronic mail and technical support for the Agency’s Portal (www.mbda.gov [1]). This office also operates facilities for hands-on training, document and image scanning, multi-media product development, and marketing for community outreach.
Office of Network Management
Interns have the opportunity to provide foundation computing capabilities, technical support to computer systems, network servers operated by OCIO on behalf of offices within the MBDA.
System Engineering Division
Interns may provide central support for both applications and production systems/operations at MBDA headquarters. Duties may include requirements associated with all sections of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for development which include requirements identification, systems engineering, deployment and application systems maintenance.
Applicants are reviewed by the OCIO Intern Coordinator and Deputy CIO. Selected intern(s) are notified by the coordinator. There are no deadlines; the office accepts applications throughout the year.
Skills Required
Information Systems, Networking, Database, Software Development, statistical skills, writing skills, and proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Visio and MS-Powerpoint. Web development or Accounting background is a plus.

Chief Information Officer
Office of Information Technology, Research, and Innovation (OITRI)
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for MBDA’s overall information technology operation in support of the agency mission. This includes the IT infrastructure; comprised of network services, help desk support, website development, maintenance and application development, and general IT consulting. OITRI manages application systems that collect, process, and report on various programs ensuring that MBDA maintains its stellar performance. IT project management and a secure IT environment enable the IT staff to provide high level support and quality customer service.
