Reverse Trade Missions bring foreign buyers to the United States, pending an upcoming procurement, in order to observe the design, manufacture, demonstration and operation of U.S. products and services that can help them achieve their development goals. These strategically planned missions also present excellent opportunities for U.S. businesses to establish or enhance relationships with prospective overseas customers.
In 2013 USTDA funded 24 reverse trade missions that introduced U.S. company representatives to key foreign decision-makers, including senior governmental and private sector officials from high-growth markets. The reverse trade mssions target current and near-team business opportunities, often creating immediate results and export successes for U.S. businesses.

Brazil Passenger Rail Signaling and Power Systems Upgrade Reverse Trade Mission
Dates: May 4-10, 2014
Locations: Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC; and Pittsburgh, PA
The objective of the visit is to familiarize Brazilian officials with signaling, power station, and switchgear motorization technologies. The delegates will participate in site visits, as well as meetings with related U.S. government, private entities and financial entities.
A business roundtable is proposed to take place on May 8th in Pittsburgh, PA.

ConnectMEX: U.S.-Mexico Transport and Telecom Conference

The Government of Mexico is expected to invest more than $100 billion to modernize its transportation and telecommunications sectors over the next five years. In order to support the country's ambitious reform efforts and position U.S. companies for success in implementing critical infrastructure projects supporting Mexico's 2013-2018 National Development Plan, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and Mexico's Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT) are partnering to host ConnectMEX: U.S.-Mexico Transport and Telecom Conference from May 28-30, 2014 in Mexico City.
This conference will bring together U.S. companies and key project sponsors from throughout Mexico to discuss specific project opportunities in the transportation and telecommunications sectors.
