The Rutgers University Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development’s (CUEED) Pipeline to Inclusive Innovation Initiative aims to increase the number of under-represented inventors, scientists and technology- focused Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) engaged in federally-funded innovation and technology programs.

In May 2017, CUEED PII will host a Technology Entrepreneurship & Commercialization Boot Camp at Rutgers Business School in Newark, New Jersey.  Applicants to the CUEED PII Technology Entrepreneurship & Commercialization Boot Camp should meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must have (or plan to register) a for profit company that is US owned and operated, and have less than 500 employees.

  • Companies must be 51% US-owned by individuals and individually operated OR at least 51% owned and controlled by another for-profit business concern that is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more individuals.

  • The business must be located in the United States, and all the money it receives in an SBIR contract or award must be spent in the U.S.

  • Applicants must have an innovative technology that could be commercialized under the SBIR or STTR program.

Please note that priority will be given to applicants who are members of an under-represented group in technology entrepreneurship
