The U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is hosting the 40th Annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Awards. The MED Week Awards, established in 1983, recognize the outstanding achievements of the Nation’s minority business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing the growth and successes of the minority business community.
Despite systemic challenges, minority entrepreneurs find ways to break through in traditional industries, to carve new paths in emerging industries, and to live up their role as a driving force for the Nation’s economy. The MED Week Awards give minority business community leaders a platform to share their accomplishments with the Nation and serve as an inspiration for fellow and future entrepreneurs to look up to in their pursuit of the American dream.
The MED Week Award winners will be announced at the award ceremony during the Annual MED Week Conference in October 2023. The National MED Week Conference is a forum for minority entrepreneurs, business stakeholders, and public sector leaders to engage, network, and learn about industry trends, key resources, and tools to advance minority business.
MBDA is accepting nominations now for 15 MED Week Awards. Please join us to honor the Nation’s outstanding minority business leaders!
