Comment Policy

The purpose of the MBDA's new media communication forums, including the MBDA Grow Your Business blog, collaborative tools and other sites, is to share news and information regarding the activities, policies and programs of the Minority Business Development Agency and its employees. We encourage discussion and comments on posts. Your insights are important to ensure Americans nationwide are informed and can be a part of the MBDA's work, every day.

We encourage comments. Your thoughts, ideas and concerns will play a critical role helping MBDA better explain our actions, improve our customer service and be even more responsive to the needs of the public.

Disclaimer: Posted comments and images do not necessarily represent the views of MBDA. External, non-MBDA links do not constitute official endorsement on behalf of the MBDA. While we encourage you to share thoughts and opinions, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.

MBDA does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our pages/group. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile/group.

Therefore, a comment, video or photo will be deleted if it contains:

  • contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups;
  • comments whose main purpose are to sell a product or service;

  • promote services or products (non-commercial links that are relevant to the post or comment are acceptable);

  • are far off-topic;
  • spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile;

  • make unsupported accusations;
  • comments that infringe on copyrights.

All links posted as comments will be reviewed and may be deleted.

Repeated violations of the MBDA comment policy may cause the author to be blocked.

We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely.

Reporters are asked to send questions to public_affairs@mbda.gov or call 202-482-4690 and refrain from submitting questions here as comments. Reporters' questions will be removed.

Thank you for taking the time to read this comment policy.

If you have questions about the comment policy or how we apply it, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@mbda.gov.
