This event will take place July 3-4, 2015 at the 2015 ESSENCE Festival® presented by Coca-Cola®in New Orleans, LA. Twenty-five companies from across the Gulf Coast region will apply innovative tools to their business models by hearing first hand from experts about valuable lessons in the areas of business expansion, competitive branding and how to pitch their business ideas to potential investors with the hopes of securing funding for future business operations.

Over the past decade members of the Gulf Coast business community have shown resilience to adjust and bounce back from the Hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill’s long-term economic and ecological effects. In the five Gulf Coast States, there were approximately 728,000 minority-owned firms that contributed $128.5 billion to the economy since 2007.

The MBDA is dedicated to providing the resources necessary to take your business to the next level of success by supporting the next generation of minority innovators.
