2017 Minority Construction Firm of the Year

Presented to a minority-owned firm that has achieved outstanding success in private or public construction projects and has exhibited revenue and job growth over a sustained period of time.

Minority Construction Firm of the Year is presented to Trice Construction Company. Founded in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, Trice Construction excels at complex concrete construction projects, especially within the utility industry – serving Fortune 500 corporations, top 100 general contractors, national infrastructure contractors, and major public entities throughout the Midwest. In 2006, Stephanie Hickman left a 25-year career as a labor attorney, utility executive, and lobbyist to acquire the company from her uncles. Since then, Trice has embarked upon a growth trajectory that transformed it from a small residential construction company to an award-winning utility infrastructure and concrete contracting firm with individual project values exceeding $4 million, and program contracts exceeding $6-8 million over multiple years.
