2017 Veteran-Owned Business of the Year

Presented to a minority veteran-owned enterprise with outstanding business performance demonstrated by growth and job creation, and a commitment to social responsibility and community involvement.

Bede Ramcharan founded Indatatech in 2000. Indatatech is a service-disabled veteran-owned global supply chain solutions company that specializes in procurement and sourcing, logistics, and staffing services that has performed work in 13 countries and has operations in 14 states. During his Army career, Bede Rachmaran worked at almost every level of command from company level to commanding a mobile Army surgical hospital (MASH) in Bosnia. He was selected for a Congressional Fellowship with the Brookings Institute, and worked as personal staff for Congressman James Clyburn where he advised the Congressman on healthcare and military issues. He is the founder of the San Antonio Veterans Institute, a 501(c)(3) that provides alternative health care; and the founder of IDTCM, an indirect construction services provider for healthcare focused national construction management and indirect services. Bede is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Health Facilities Institute and holds a Masters in healthcare administration from the U.S. Army Baylor Healthcare Program. Currently he serves on numerous community and industry Boards, the National Association of Veteran Owned Businesses, the Board of Trustees for the National Defense Industrial Association, and a member of the Advisory Council for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. He is a member of the of the Learning Companies Advisory Board for the Alamo Community Colleges, and a Member of the Business College Advisory Board for the San Antonio Community College.
