Since 1983, every president has issued a Presidential Proclamation designating a National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week to recognize the contributions of the minority business community to the U.S. economy. In recognition of the 2017 National MED Week, MBDA will host a series of workshops and seminars focused on federal programs. MBDA Acting National Director Chris Garcia will provide remarks at the opening "Monday Power Breakfast" recognizing the National MED Week award winners. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross will attend the 2017 National Minority Supplier Development Council Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange in Detroit providing remarks Oct. 23 during the Monday Keynote Luncheon.
